A free Omegle alternative for text chat with strangers
Omegle shut down in November 2023. If you miss its simple one-on-one chats with strangers, Stranley brings that experience back: free, anonymous and no sign-up.
What feels familiar
- Random one-on-one chat. You're paired with a single stranger. No group rooms, no feeds.
- Interests. Add a few topics and we'll look for someone who shares one.
- The Esc key. Press Esc to skip, then once more to confirm, just like the classic shortcut.
- No account. Open the page and start talking. You're simply “Stranger”.
What's different
- Text only. No camera or microphone, ever.
- 18+ only, with clear community rules everyone agrees to.
- One-click reporting. Reporting ends the chat immediately and logs it for review.
- Country flags. See roughly which country your stranger is chatting from.
Stay safe while you chat
Never share your full name, address, school, workplace or passwords, and skip anyone who makes you uncomfortable. Read the full safety guidelines before you start.
