What we collect

No account data. We never ask for your name, email or phone number.
Temporary connection ID. A random ID is created when you open the chat and is not linked to your identity.
Chat records. Session metadata (start/end time, message count) and, if enabled by the operator, message text are stored to investigate abuse reports.
Interests. Shared interests between two matched users are stored with the session.
Approximate country. Your country — from your connection or, failing that, your browser's time zone and language — is shown as a flag to the person you chat with. It is not stored. Flag images are loaded from flagcdn.com.

Only to run the service, produce aggregate statistics (such as the number of people online) and review reports of abuse. We do not sell data.

Chat records should be deleted on a regular schedule set by the operator. Reported sessions may be kept longer for safety review.
